We are currently looking for a Full-Time Receptionist/Administrative Assistant to join our team. Under the direct supervision of the Director of Finance and Administration, the Receptionist/Administrative Assistant has primary responsibility for providing excellent front-line service as well as administrative and support services to the Ottawa Food Bank and assists with other activities of the organization, as required.
The Receptionist/Administrative Assistant is required to provide bilingual administrative support to the Ottawa Food Bank and to perform a range of duties including, but not limited to:

This work involves ongoing contact with co-workers, volunteers, donors, member agencies, clients, and the public. Tact, discretion, empathy, and good manners are essential when assisting with the various daily contact. Good judgment is required to make decisions regarding work priorities and the ability to effectively identify problems and resolve conflict is required.
The work is performed on-site at the Head Office between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Exemplary attendance and punctuality are expected.
Travel, while not anticipated, would be limited to within the National Capital Region.
There may be the occasional need to supervise, training and assist volunteers and temporary office staff.
